Vistosi among the finalists at the Venetian Smart Lighting Award 2025 with two new collections: Dione and Jeff

Vistosi is a finalist in the tenth edition of the Venetian Smart Lighting Award 2025, the prize that, since 2015, has been celebrating the excellence of Venetian companies in the lighting sector, promoting innovative and versatile products capable of meeting the challenges of the contemporary market.
Following its victory in the previous edition with Plissé—the collection by Chiaramonte & Marin that won over the jury with its refined elegance and masterful use of blown glass—Vistosi returns to the spotlight with two outstanding new collections: Dione and Jeff.

The Competing Collections
Dione, designed by atelier oï, is a collection that plays with overlapping glass discs and a metal base housing two LED light sources. The first emits a warm ambient glow, while the second projects directional light onto the surfaces below. The two glass elements are height-adjustable thanks to a hooking system that slides along the cables, allowing for endlessly customizable configurations—even with a single diffuser.

Jeff, designed by Pio and Tito Toso, is an architectural lighting system composed of two distinct modules – one elongated and one curved – designed to create free and customizable configurations. Jeff is ideal for bespoke and dramatic installations, such as halls and large hospitality spaces. Particular attention has been given to the choice of light sources to enhance the purity of the glass without creating internal shadows, offering maximum transparency and highlighting the craftsmanship involved.

An award that looks to the future of lighting design

The Venetian Smart Lighting Award 2025 is much more than a competition: it is a growth platform that annually celebrates the innovation and quality of local companies. Thanks to a prestigious collaboration with Venice Design Week, this year the award offers an extraordinary opportunity: the winner of the category “Best Design Lamp Activating Innovation” will gain direct and free access to Venice Design Week 2025, scheduled from October 11 to 19.

A synergy that brings the best of Veneto lighting design into the international spotlight and strengthens the visibility of participating companies on the global design stage.

Categories in Competition
Companies can enter in four main categories:

Best Decorative Lamp for Contract Use
Best Design Lamp that Drives Innovation
Best Lamp for Special Use
Best Invisible Light Solution

Additionally, the special “Silvano Oldani” award will be given for the best communication skills among the finalists.

An Outstanding Jury
The competing products will be evaluated by a highly distinguished panel of experts from the fields of lighting, design, and project culture: Alberto Bassi, Caterina Colle, Laura Bellia, Susanna Antico, and Paolo De Lucchi.

The Award Ceremony
The winners will be announced during the Gala Dinner scheduled for today, Thursday, July 10th, at the splendid Villa Ca’ Marcello in Piombino Dese (PD). The evening will be dedicated to networking among companies, lighting designers, architects, and industry professionals to celebrate the excellence of Venetian lighting and to outline new international prospects.

With the nomination of Dione and Jeff as finalists, Vistosi once again confirms its leading role in the world of decorative lighting, continuing its mission to combine Murano tradition, technological research, and contemporary design to create products of great aesthetic and functional value.
