TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS

Previous versions (1 and 2)

FRAME

  1. The metal dome consisted of a single machined, very heavy piece housing the LED module, sealed with a gasket.
  2. Closing required experience and manual skill; without them, the sphere could be sealed improperly, leaving an unsightly gap — a common mistake that compromised the final aesthetic result.

LED SOURCE
The LED source covered the entire surface of the machined metal element.

Updated version
FRAME

  • The new fastening system eliminates the need for a gasket.
  • The LED module is housed inside the frame, at the base of which a C-ring has been inserted. By loosening the three screws, the assembly can be positioned inside the diffuser. The screws are then tightened so that the ring grips the glass securely.
  • All the metal components remain completely concealed inside the glossy white diffuser, preserving its aesthetics while ensuring greater component stability and easier installation. The configuration is completed by fastening the metal dome with two screws.

LED SOURCE

The new LED features a reduced surface area and is equipped with an aluminum cover that ensures proper heat dissipation, as confirmed by the thermal tests carried out.

PLOT FRAME
New metal frame

Compared to the previous version, the overall dimensions of the complete sphere have increased by a few millimeters due to the new frame, making it necessary to modify the metal cages to ensure proper fitting.

As in the previous versions, the metal dome must be fastened once the sphere has been inserted into the cage, ensuring that the spheres cannot in any way come out of their housing.
