Located in Toorak, Melbourne, Brahman Perera’s Ek Onkar residential project combines furnishings, lighting and artwork to reflect the owners’ vibrant personalities. Designed to interact with the minimalist architecture of the house, the project introduces a rich palette of colours and materials that enlivens the clean lines of the residence, creating spaces that are both functional and evocative.

The layout of the rooms balances moments of intimacy and connection, with fluid transitions between private areas and communal spaces on three levels. Lighting and artwork have been carefully layered to create a dialogue between scales and details, while the use of colour becomes a narrative element that guides the visual journey between distinct but interconnected rooms.

For the living area, the large Novecento pendant lamp in transparent rigadin glass was chosen. Its timeless elegance and subtle radial striations in the glass give the light a vibrant and precious effect, enriching the atmosphere of the residence and creating a refined focal point that interacts with the minimalist architecture of the home.
