Lufthansa reopens its lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2: a luxury renovation featuring lighting by Vistosi

Lufthansa reopened its Business Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2 last January, following a three-month closure for renovation works. The new design, elegant and modern, has been carefully crafted to offer passengers a luxury experience. Among the various improvements, new furnishings, modern lighting, and more functional spaces have been introduced, with particular attention to passenger comfort and privacy. The lounge has been expanded to 1,600 square meters, with a capacity of 350 guests, and offers a range of services including a buffet, free Wi-Fi, private workstations, and dedicated phone booths for confidential calls.

A key element of the restyling was the lighting, and Lufthansa chose Vistosi to help create the lounge’s unique atmosphere. After carefully selecting its suppliers, Lufthansa decided to install 20 pendant lights from the Plissé collection in smoky and antique green tones to decorate the waiting area, adding a touch of class and elegance to the space.

Plissé is a collection with a timeless design. Each blown glass diffuser conceals a delicate fabric lampshade, creating a refined interplay of transparency, color, and texture, resulting in a truly unique visual effect. Plissé is available with diffusers in various shades, including dark amber, smoky grey, burnt earth, antique green, and clear crystal, while the frame comes in satin steel or matte bronze finishes. The lighting effect created by these pendants enhances the lounge’s atmosphere, making it even more welcoming and sophisticated.

The collaboration with Vistosi has therefore played a key role in shaping the look and feel of this exclusive space. With over 360 weekly flights operated by the Lufthansa Group departing from Heathrow, the lounge remains a point of reference for the most discerning travelers, who can enjoy not only a comfortable environment but also high-quality lighting — the result of the craftsmanship and innovation that are the hallmarks of Vistosi.

The Lufthansa Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2 is open daily from 4:15 AM to 10:00 PM, continuing to serve as a symbol of excellence in the airport hospitality sector.
