ADA 2023 TO PLISSE' BY VISTOSI

Plissé, after being selected in the Longlist of the best new products in the lighting sector, wins the Archiproduct Design Awards 2023, emerging among the 46 remaining candidates after the first selection.

It is the 5th ADA award that Vistosi has won in less than 10 years. A jury of excellence consisting of over forty of the most influential names in global creativity, including Manuel Aires Mateus, Giovanna Castiglioni, AMDL CIRCLE and Kelly Wearstler together with photographer Alberto Zanetti, pop artist Pietro Terzini and Nina Yashar, founder of Nilufar Gallery alongside experts in eco-design and sustainable design including Studio Formafantasma, American Lindsey Wikstrom of Mattaforma and Rossana Orlandi + Nicoletta Brugnoni (to name but a few!). They were given the task of evaluating and selecting the most innovative projects from over 700 proposals.
14 categories: furniture, bathroom, kitchen, outdoor, contract, office, lighting, decoration, finishes, building envelope, system components and materials, tech & lifestyle, wellness.
Vistosi submitted two entries in the light category, was selected in the long list from among 46 finalists and eventually earned this coveted award.
Their task is to identify products that have distinguished themselves through the use of new materials, forms or functions and that are capable of revolutionising and improving the quality of life of today and tomorrow, that stand out for their originality, research and innovation, and that reveal their emotional and functional power.

Plissé, presented for the first time by Vistosi at the last edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan last April, responded exactly to the jury’s demands with its concept, combining design, material, craftsmanship and sustainability in a perfect combination.
The new suspension is the brainchild of designers Chiaramonte & Marin, analysed and developed by Vistosi’s R&D department and realised by its master glassmakers in collaboration with the company’s in-house workshop.
The new pendant is characterised by a generously sized diffuser made of blown glass that conceals an inner fabric shade, creating an interplay of transparencies, colours and textures that give
Plissè a unique elegance, able to characterise and give personality to the surroundings.
The diffuser is available in dark amber, smoked, burnt earth, old green or transparent crystal. The metal frame, on the other hand, is available with a matt steel or matt bronze finish. Equipped with an LED source, this collection enchants with its beauty and versatility in stylishly illuminating spaces.
We like to mention that the collaboration between the designers and Vistosi is once again a winning one, in fact it has already brought highly successful collections such as Riflesso table winner of the ADA award in 2019 to this podium. Awards to add to those already obtained in 2016 with the FUTURA collection designed by studio HDG, in 2017 with JUBE suspension and in 2020 with JUBE table, designed by Favaretto&Partners.
