Anisette, Plissé and Riketta win awards at the IF Design Award 2025

The IF Design Award is one of the most prestigious and long-standing awards in international design. Established in 1953 by the Industrie Forum Design in Hanover, Germany, it celebrates excellence in fields ranging from industrial and product design to communication and user experience every year.

The selection of winners is distinguished by the high standards and authority of the jury, composed of world-renowned experts. Projects are evaluated according to strict criteria such as innovation, functionality, aesthetics, sustainability and user experience.

Obtaining the iF Label means receiving a seal of quality and originality that consolidates the prestige of designers and companies globally. The award-winning projects also become part of international travelling exhibitions, contributing to the dissemination of innovation in the world of design.

Following the success of the Jube collection designed by Favaretto & Partners in 2019, Vistosi returns to the spotlight at the iF Design Awards with new products that confirm its commitment to design research and quality craftsmanship.

In 2025, Vistosi submitted five collections: Anisette, Plissé, Groove, Faro and Riketta — each with a strong identity and a distinctive design narrative.

We are pleased to announce that the collections Anisette, Plissé e Riketta have won the iF Design Award 2025, an award that recognises the value of contemporary design and Vistosi’s ongoing ability to combine creativity, innovation and glassmaking tradition.

Anisette, designed by Francesco Lucchese, stands out for its poetic use of the nuances of lattimo glass. The lamps, composed of two diffuser shades in shaded white glass, are available in four configurations that play with the balance between overlap and contrast. Inspired by the chemical effect produced when aniseed liqueurs are diluted with water, Anisette includes an exclusive coupling system that allows you to adjust the height of the light source.

Plissé, designed by Chiaramonte & Marin, gracefully recalls the shape of jellyfish. The blown glass diffuser envelops a fabric lampshade, creating a fascinating play of transparencies and textures. The metal structure, available in a satin steel or matt bronze finish, is combined with a wide and refined colour palette. A combination of visual lightness and formal refinement.

Riketta, designed by Oriano Favaretto, has a strong sculptural character. The ovoid shape, obtained from the interaction between the white opal glass and the metal rods, is available in slimmer or more compact versions. The LED light source, hidden in the diffuser, creates a soft, diffused light. Riketta is designed to evolve: from a suspension lamp to a future table or floor lamp version.

Alongside the award-winning collections, Vistosi also nominated:

Groove, a project by Hangar Design Group, inspired by 1960s minimalism and Mies van der Rohe’s ‘less is more’ principle. The combination of geometric shapes – rectangles and spheres – creates a balanced and rigorous structure. Available in anthracite or matt bronze finish, with diffusers in satin or glossy white glass. Groove is designed to offer compositions that are always tidy and customisable. Already awarded the German Design Award, it is one of the most popular designs on the European scene.

Faro, designed by Oriano Favaretto, evokes the serene atmosphere of the Venetian lagoon. Composed of two pieces of glass – one transparent coloured and one glossy white – and a metal ring that acts as a guide, Faro embodies the idea of light as guidance and protection. The LED light source, integrated into the metal structure, diffuses a welcoming and uniform light.

These nominations and awards are proof of Vistosi’s ongoing commitment to promoting glass as a narrative and functional material, and to promoting design that illuminates spaces while telling stories.
