A new international milestone for Vistosi and for Italian design
The Anisette collection, designed by Francesco Lucchese for Vistosi, celebrates a double achievement: winning the prestigious Compasso d’Oro International Award and entering the permanent collection of the ADI Design Museum in Milan.
This recognition highlights an extraordinary journey shaped by aesthetic research, technical innovation and the enhancement of the Murano blown-glass tradition.
Anisette – A contemporary lantern shaped by poetry, materiality and light
Design by Francesco Lucchese
Anisette reinterprets the archetypal form of the lantern with a poetic and sophisticated language. At the heart of the project lies the white shaded glass, a symbol of the Murano tradition, reimagined through two overlapping diffusers that allow for four lighting configurations, shaping light, atmosphere and intensity.
The name itself refers to the “anisette” phenomenon, in which anise-based liqueurs create milky micro-droplets that refract the light, a poetic and suspended effect that is echoed in the lamp.
The collection is available in two versions:
The E27 light source ensures maximum flexibility, while the versatile design allows Anisette to be used both individually and in multiple arrangements, making it ideal for residences, retail spaces and hospitality projects.
An international exhibition journey
Debuting at Euroluce 2023, Anisette immediately captured attention for its ability to shape light in a poetic and sensory way.
After Milan and Rome, the collection expanded with the table version, presented at Euroluce 2025. The journey reached its peak at Expo Osaka 2025, in the Italy Pavilion designed by Mario Cucinella Architects, where Anisette was awarded the Compasso d’Oro International Award for its original reinterpretation of Murano glassblowing.
Today, with its entry into the permanent collection of the ADI Design Museum, Anisette cements its status as an icon of contemporary Italian design.
The designer: Francesco Lucchese
Architect, designer and professor at the Politecnico di Milano, Francesco Lucchese is known for his multidisciplinary approach, integrating product, architecture and brand identity.
Founder of Lucchesedesign studio, he has collaborated with Italian and international companies, earning numerous accolades including the Red Dot Design Award, Design Plus, Good Design Award and Compasso d’Oro.
For Vistosi, he has created iconic collections such as Armonia, Stardust and Anisette, reinterpreting the Murano tradition with a contemporary and poetic language.
A result that reflects Vistosi’s identity
With Anisette, Vistosi confirms its ability to unite:
The inclusion of the collection in the permanent collection of the ADI Design Museum is a recognition of the quality of the design, the expertise of the master glassmakers, and the ongoing pursuit of excellence that defines the company’s history and future.
