A prominent feature of the 2017 edition of Euroluce, Salone del Mobile Milano
From 4 to 9 April 2017, Vetreria Vistosi returned to Euroluce, Hall 11 – Stand D25, celebrating a memorable edition that marked important moments in the brand’s history.
This year, Vistosi celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Giogali collection, designed by architect Angelo Mangiarotti in 1967 and patented in the same year. For the occasion, the stand hosted a special Giogali installation, with modular hooks made one by one by Vistosi’s master glassmakers, creating evocative light compositions, veritable architectures of light suspended in space, testifying to the innovation and craftsmanship of blown glass.
Alongside this historical tribute, three new collections dedicated to Moscow were presented, designed by Andrea Boschetti of the Metrogramma studio, as well as the new Peggy collection, developed in collaboration with Hangar Design Group and inspired by the special edition created for the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice.
Eight additional new collections enriched the stand, designed by prestigious designers such as Favaretto & Partners, Romani Saccani Architetti Associati, Alberto Saggia, Valerio Sommella and Giovanni Barbato. Among the collections presented at Euroluce 2017, Aria, Cristallina, Jube, Kira, Mirage, Sata, Stone and Surface stood out, all examples of the elegance, creativity and stylistic research typical of Vistosi.
The Mendeleev collection, designed by Andrea Boschetti, celebrated the science and art of light, drawing inspiration from the Periodic Table of Elements. The Mendeleev chandelier, the centrepiece of the collection, combined molecular geometries, crystal and polished black nickel metal to create a luminous work of unique elegance. The Mendeleev 0 pendant lamp reinterpreted the forms of scientific research in a contemporary key, confirming Vistosi’s talent for combining design, art and technology.
The stand was designed according to a new exhibition concept by architects Pio and Tito Toso, with a significantly larger area than in previous editions, allowing the public to enjoy an immersive experience of art and light.
The 2017 edition was also enriched by a live webcast hosted by Giorgio Tartaro, who interviewed CEO Matteo Moretti and the leading designers, recounting the history, inspiration and creative process behind the new Vistosi collections.
Vistosi has thus consolidated its position as a leader in artistic glass lighting, combining Murano tradition, innovation and high-level collaborations to create timeless lighting objects.
