Unprecedented Triumph for Vistosi at the German Design Awards 2025: Three Collections Awarded for "Excellent Design"

Vistosi has achieved an extraordinary success at the German Design Awards 2025, winning with three collections in the Lighting section. This unprecedented achievement – no company has ever done this before – saw Anisette, Faro, and Riketta recognized by the jury as shining examples of excellence in lighting design. This accolade highlights Vistosi’s ability to innovate in the field of design while maintaining an outstanding level of aesthetic and functional quality.

German Design Awards: A Global Recognition

The German Design Awards, bestowed by the German Design Council, are one of the most prestigious international awards in the design sector. Since 2012, these awards have celebrated the most innovative trends in the fields of product design, communications design, and architecture, promoting them on a global scale. In the 2025 edition, 48% of the entries were submitted by international companies, with projects from 59 countries, reflecting an extremely high standard of excellence. A total of 65 “Gold” awards were presented across the three disciplines: 39 in Excellent Product Design, 16 in Excellent Communications Design, and 12 in Excellent Architecture.

Vistosi: Three Award-Winning Collections, an Unprecedented Success

Within the Excellent Product Design discipline, Vistosi submitted three collections in the Lighting category, which spans a wide range of products, from residential and technical lighting to outdoor luminaires and innovative lighting systems. The three awarded collections – Anisette, Faro, and Riketta – stood out for their unique design, blending elegance, functionality, and sustainability.

  • Anisette: This collection is characterized by its modern geometries, reminiscent of a lantern. Thanks to an innovative attachment system that perfectly conceals the frame and allows the glass to be fixed without drilling, the two frosted white crystal diffusers can be arranged in different configurations, creating a playful interaction between the internal light source and the transparency of the glass.
  • Faro: Composed of two glasses harmoniously connected by a metal ring, Faro combines a colored transparent glass with an opal white glass that conceals the LED source. The result is a diffused, uniform, non-glare light, available in both pendant and ceiling versions.
  • Riketta: With its modern and minimal design, Riketta features a metal frame that houses a white glass diffuser at the bottom. This LED pendant lamp is available in two sizes, making it perfect for minimalist, contemporary environments.

An Award that Celebrates Excellent Design

The German Design Awards are known for their extremely high standards. Only projects that excel in quality and innovation are invited to participate. The evaluation criteria include everything from ergonomics to sustainability, functionality to aesthetics, with a strong emphasis on a project’s ability to meet market and customer needs.
The international jury, composed of renowned experts, recognized Vistosi as a model of excellence in lighting design, awarding the products for their ability to combine aesthetics, technology, and environmental responsibility.

The jury and evaluation process

The 2025 German Design Awards jury, comprised of experts from 16 different nationalities, includes professionals from industries, academia, and design. Notable members include Martin Pauli from Arup and Daniela Bohlinger from the BMW Group. These experts gathered for two days in Frankfurt am Main, carefully evaluating the projects based on their design, functionality, and sustainability.

Vistosi and the sustainable transformation of design

In addition to recognition for excellent design, the German Design Awards 2025 have highlighted the importance of sustainable design as a driving force for economic transformation. With its innovative collections, Vistosi has demonstrated a concrete commitment to design that not only meets aesthetic and functional needs but also considers environmental impact.
The newly introduced “Circular Design” category celebrates cutting-edge solutions that align with the goals of the circular economy, an area in which Vistosi has excelled, reaffirming its leadership in lighting design.

Vistosi’s global success

Vistosi’s victory at the German Design Awards 2025 is not only a recognition of the quality of its design but also of its ability to anticipate and respond to global trends. The three awarded collections represent a perfect blend of innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability, confirming Vistosi as a key player on the international stage of lighting design. This unprecedented achievement marks a historic milestone for the company and sets a new standard of excellence that will influence the entire sector.
