Vistosi guest at Maison Diez Company 2023

The fifth Maison Diez Company will be held from 10 November to 31 March 2024 at Maison Diez Company 2023 Gobernador José María Tornel 34, Mexico. Here are the most important dates: on 8_11 there will be a press conference, on 9_11 the opening for special guests, from 10_11 to 31_03_2024 public entrance after registration on Eventbrite. An ambitious project that for each edition chooses a different and completely original location, bringing together under one roof the most important brands of international lighting design, exhibiting them in unusual settings that capture the attention of architects, designers, contractors, interior designers, hoteliers and the most important national and international companies interested in the world of lighting. For the first time, Vistosi will be a protagonist and actress at this kermesse, presenting to journalists, industry experts and the public the new Armonia OV1, which, more than other collections, is an example of the now rare skills and knowledge of its master glassmakers. The new large chandelier is composed of an oval-shaped frame supporting four coloured cylinders of pure crystal with balloton, straight and twisted rigadin and a new rhomboid work. This new configuration enchants by matching visual and tactile perceptions, creating a strong decorative and emotional impact. The reality of Vistosi, its history, the collections in the catalogue, its long experience in the made-to-measure products sector, the latest innovations and much more will be narrated by Matteo Moretti, who has been at the helm of the company for years. Rodrigo Fernández, director and co-founder of the Diez Company, is the creator of this project. This year, the exhibition remains in the heritage area of San Miguel Chapultepec, a neighborhood with a rich architectural and cultural history dating back centuries. At 34 José María Tornel Street, more than 1,000 square meters of exhibition space will be transformed into the perfect stage for a memorable edition: a religious experience with a completely reimagined proposal. Same place, but a new setting, breaking paradigms as Maison is accused of doing. It is the challenge to stay and, at the same time, to create an unprecedented space that breaks with previous places, challenging the audience to wonder, surprise and be touched by spiritual emotion. The sanctuary of light will be a living testimony that transformation is possible, even in the most sacred places. This set of excellence contributes to the strengthening of a community to the benefit of both manufacturers, distributors, interior designers and, of course, the end customer. The concept of this event makes Maison Diez Company a unique project dedicated to design and light. About Diez Company Nineteen years ago, Diez Company was born from a dream of Gina Diez Barroso and Rodrigo Fernández. With the firm intention of supporting and guiding the lighting industry, they created Maison Diez Company. It is an innovative platform that not only celebrates light, but also brings together leading national and international lighting talents, from designers and architects to hoteliers, developers and restaurateurs, among others. The birth of the Maison Diez Company was the result of a clear vision: to create a space where the importance of light in people’s everyday lives could shine through. Diez Company shaped this project by transforming an illuminated villa into the epicenter of creativity and innovation in the world of lighting. This unique and fascinating place has become the perfect canvas for the world’s leading lighting brands to showcase their most striking products and designs. Since its first edition in 2018, Maison Diez Company has established itself as an annual phenomenon, an eagerly awaited event for design enthusiasts, lighting aficionados and lovers of creativity. Every year, visitors from all over the world gather to immerse themselves in an unprecedented lighting experience. The trajectory of the Maison Diez Company was impressive, marked by four beautiful locations that left a mark in the participants’ memories. Over time, exceptional locations have been the magical stage for Maison Diez Company, weaving a story of light and enchantment. The story of Maison Diez Company In 2018, a majestic building in the Roma neighbourhood, located at Puebla 135, hosted 6 distinct environments during 4 days of exhibition. With the support of 25 participating brands and the support of 6 allies, the venue was filled with splendor and welcomed 800 participants who were captivated by the fascinating light show. In 2019, Marsella 70’s iconic Alicia building was the setting for the second edition. For 60 days, 3,000 people had the opportunity to explore 5 interspersed flats, where 33 international brands displayed over 500 products. Between special guests and allies, bright energy filled every corner. In 2021, Escandón became home to the third edition of the Maison Diez Company, organized in an imposing Porfirian-style building located at 96 Carlos B Zetina. With the touch of history surrounding it, the mansion lit up with 82 pieces from 25 international brands, dazzling 3,000 attendees, 30 international guests and 8 strategic allies. In 2022 we arrived in San Miguel Chapultepec. There, an old gymnasium located at José María Tornel 34 welcomed more than 15,000 guests during the 9-month exhibition. It showcased 206 pieces from 37 international brands, appreciated by 60 international guests and 4 strategic allies. This kind of set-up started a new, meaningful chapter in the history of the Maison Diez Company. Declared a heritage zone in 2005, the San Miguel Chapultepec neighborhood resonated with the architectural mix of French-inspired buildings. A place steeped in history, with roots dating back to around 1530, and which for centuries has been prized for its cultural richness and architectural diversity. In this 2022 edition, Diez Company also presented, for the first time and exclusively, the Diez Company Archive, a selection of lighting pieces owned by the company. The Diez Company Archive is an exquisite collection of lighting fixtures, some of which date back to 1932. In 2023, the exhibition remains in the heritage area of San Miguel Chapultepec, a district with a rich architectural and cultural history dating back centuries. At 34 José María Tornel Street, more than 1,000 square metres of exhibition space will be transformed into the perfect stage for a memorable edition: a religious experience with a completely redesigned proposal. This year Diez Company has formed an alliance with the Spanish company Santa & Cole to use images from the archives of artworks on display at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum as part of the Neoseries selection of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection. In this way, Diez Company exclusively brings to Maison Diez Company images of famous paintings created by the likes of Velázquez, Caravaggio, Rubens, Sweerts, Cranach, and Christus, which will be exhibited for the first time in Mexico. These are Baroque masterpieces in which light is the soul that gives life and meaning to each canvas. Through the magic of light, Baroque artists transport us to a world of emotion and spirituality. We thank Santa & Cole and this magnificent museum for sharing with us the same excitement felt in seeing the original through these art treasures, and we hope that this experience will be a source of inspiration and wonder for all Maison Diez Company participants.
