The prestigious German Design Award represents a first-rate recognition in the vast international design scene. Granted annually by the German Design Council, a leading institution in promoting design excellence both in Germany and around the world, this award celebrates innovation and excellence in design across a wide range of categories, from architecture to visual communication, from interior design to products.

German Design Award winners are selected by a jury of industry experts who carefully evaluate each project according to strict criteria, including design quality, innovation, functionality, aesthetics and sustainability. Being honored with this award is a hallmark of excellence in the world of design, conferring prestige, visibility and market opportunities on both winning designers and companies.

Vistosi, a renowned brand in the lighting design scene, has already had the honor of being recognized with the German Design Award in the past. The Groove lamp, the result of a collaboration with the prestigious Hangar Design Group, won a special mention for product design in the “Lighting” category in the previous edition of the award. Similarly, the Sata lamp, designed by Favaretto&Partners, received the award for best design lamp in 2019.

Today, we are excited to announce three new nominations that bring the Vistosi brand once again into the German Design Award spotlight: Faro, Riketta, and Anisette. These creations, characterized by unique designs and fascinating stories, embody Vistosi’s commitment to innovation and distinctive aesthetics.

The Anisette collection, designed by Francesco Lucchese, is distinguished by its skillful use of lattimo glass shades, offering lamps with striking shapes that are inspired by the chemical effect of aniseed liqueurs diluted with water. With a special attachment system that allows the height of the light source to be adjusted, this collection promises to be a valuable addition to any room.

The Faro collection, designed by Oriano Favaretto, evokes the relaxing atmosphere of the waters of the Venetian lagoon through a design that combines transparency and opacity in a harmonious balance. With a hidden LED light source, this collection offers a diffuse and uniform light perfect for creating a cozy and serene atmosphere.

Finally, the Riketta collection, also by Oriano Favaretto, is distinguished by its contemporary sculptural form. With a design reminiscent of the iconic egg shape, this pendant lamp offers a combination of white opal glass and metal rods, promising versatility and adaptability to a variety of decor settings.

With these new creations, Vistosi confirms its commitment to keeping Made in Italy and the centuries-old tradition of Murano’s master glassmakers alive abroad, remaining a point of reference in the world of lighting design and aspiring to conquer new goals in the international design scene.
